Serbia has a chance to win a medal nobody thought they would against France on Saturday morning, after finishing 2-3 in the group stage and barely making the cut to advance. They are in a medal-winning situation after upsetting silver medal-favorite Australia in the quarterfinals, but falling to Spain in the semifinals. They’ll have to get through a tough French team, who played Team USA to their closest game in Rio (19 points) in the semis.

Serbia will look for another spark in the bronze medal game against France.

The bronze medal match will be televised by USA at 10:30 a.m. ET, and streamed online thanks to NBC Sports.
For Serbia to pull off another upset they’ll to find a way to generate offense outside of just Ana Dabovic off the drive. She was held to just 4-of-12 shooting in the semifinals against Spain, and as a team the Serbians shot a dismal 31 percent. They hit just 2-of-12 three-point attempts and Jelena Milovanovic and Sonja Petrovic each shot 4-of-15 from the field. Serbia struggled to get to the free throw line and looked really out of sorts. But after beating Australia, who knows which Serbian team will show up.
France should be the favorite to win after a tough loss to the Americans. Their only other losses were to Japan and Australia, two of the other strongest teams in competition. Isabelle Yacoubou is solid on boards, and should pose trouble on the inside. She’s averaging 9 points and 5 rebounds per game. Olivia Epoupa should make her mark scoring, where she is leading the French 10 points and 4 assists.
