Olympic wrestling 2016 results: Kyle Snyder becomes youngest American to win grappling gold
Snyder is a 20-year-old at Ohio State, and his win made history for the United States.

Snyder is a 20-year-old who attends Ohio State University and won the world championship in 2015. He amassed a 179-0 record in high school, only conceding a single takedown. For Gazyumov, his silver finish is Azerbaijan's 17th medal of the 2016 Olympics.
Russia’s Soslan Ramonov won gold in the 65kg men’s freestyle match, beating Azerbaijan’s Toghrul Asgarov. Ramonov dominated, winning 4-0, after winning the national and world championship in 2014.
Uzbekistan’s Magomed Abdulmuminovich Ibragimov and Romania’s Albert Saritov both won bronze medals in the 97kg men’s freestyle matches. Italy’s Frank Chamizo and Uzbekistan’s Ikhtiyor Navruzov took home bronzes for the 65kg men’s freestyle matches.
Chamizo beat United States’ Frank Molinaro, who advanced to the bronze medal match despite being bitten in the previous round. Had he beaten Chamizo, Molinaro could have been the third American man to medal in wrestling during Rio, joining Snyder and and J’den Cox, who won bronze in the 86kg men’s freestyle wrestling on Saturday.
