Thomas Rawls’ 2016 debut will not come this week. Head coach Pete Carroll told 950 KJR that Rawls will not play in Thursday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys.
Thomas Rawls will not play vs. Cowboys, fantasy value still high
We break down the fantasy football impact of Thomas Rawls not making his 2016 debut this week.

That would have been the first game action for Rawls since late in 2015 when he broke his ankle. Rawls has looked great in practice so far, but we may not see him in action until the regular season begins.
The Seattle Seahawks are ready to make Rawls their workhorse running back. That is why you cannot blame them for being cautious with Rawls’ return. The last thing Seattle needs is for Rawls to suffer a setback or different injury in a preseason game.
Fantasy Spin: It would be nice to see Rawls in action before spending a top-40 draft pick on him. That is where his ADP is and likely will stay, even if he does not play this preseason.
Do not let Rawls being held out this week affect your view of him in fantasy drafts.
