This camera-smashing Little League World Series wild pitch is COMING RIGHT AT YOU

Dearly beloved, we are gathered here to celebrate the life of this glass pane. It protected a camera lens from a wild pitch during Thursday’s Little League World Series game between South Korea and Mexico. It served everyone well, especially ESPN’s camera team who likely do not want to spend thousands of dollars replacing a camera lens. (Seriously, camera lenses are expensive and it would’ve been a nightmare if that glass pane wasn’t there.)

Five years ago, its cousin suffered the same fate from a Little League World Series wild pitch as well, which is ... actually eerie.
