These are the 10 college teams you can play as in NBA 2K this year

Players will be able to buy all-time great teams for each of the 10 schools, too.

NBA 2K introduced the ability to play as college teams in “MyCareer” mode last year. As the latest edition of the franchise readies to hit the market next month, NBA 2K17 has announced an expanded “MyCareer” made that now includes even more college programs and a special twist with the help of Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski.

Kansas, Georgetown, Arizona, Louisville, UConn, Illinois, Oklahoma, Georgia Tech, Michigan State and Wake Forest are the playable teams in “My Player” mode. Even better: you can actually play against your friends with college teams in “Play Now” mode this year. 2K really seems to have nailed the atmosphere that makes college basketball so great this year, as you can see from the trailer:

The best part? From Polygon: Once NBA 2K17 goes live Sept. 16, players will be able to buy all-time great teams for each of the 10 schools with microtransactions, as well as collegiate MyTeam cards for legendary players.

Does that mean you can run with Dee Brown on Illinois? Is Ray Allen suiting up for UConn again? Josh Howard back for Wake Forest? Blake Griffin dunking on fools for Oklahoma while Buddy Hield spots up in the corner? Personally, I’m holding out for Willie Warren. Javaris Crittenton running point for Georgia Tech!?!

OK, maybe not that last one.

The other big addition teased at in the trailer is incorporating USA Basketball. The game has previously released footage of the 1992 Dream Team and the 2016 team that competed in the Rio Olympics. This would appear to be the light at the end of the tunnel of the RPG-like mode, and it is a pretty cool reward.

NBA 2K comes out Sept. 20. You can download “The Prelude” version of “MyCareer” on Sept. 9.
