Rumors have surfaced that the Cleveland Browns may have discussed trading suspended wide receiver Josh Gordon, according to NFL Media’s Mike Garafolo. Garafolo said Friday that sources knowledgeable of the situation told him the Browns were “asking for a second round pick and then some” for the fourth-year wide receiver. Gordon has not played in an NFL game since December 2014 and is currently suspended the first four games of this season for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy. Additionally, Gordon’s next strike will result in indefinite suspension from the league.
Josh Gordon trade rumors create potential crash in fantasy value
Cleveland might be open to dealing suspended wide receiver Josh Gordon. We look at fantasy implications.

Garafolo’s report follows statements made by Browns executive vice president Sashi Brown denying the Gordon trade rumors in a press conference on Thursday from Tampa. Brown did note that every player has a price during his discussion with the press. Gordon is expected to play in preseason Week 3 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Fantasy Spin:
Gordon is a great weapon on the field, but it has been a while since he has seen any action. Given all of the issues Gordon has had off the field, most fantasy owners, like other NFL teams, won’t touch him. However, he could have potential as a waiver pickup midseason.
