Free agent running back Stevan Ridley visited the Indianapolis Colts Friday, a day after being released from the Detroit Lions, reports NFL.com’s Mike Garafolo. The veteran RB has had a rocky return since tearing his ACL in 2014. Ridley was the fourth in line in Detroit. Now, he could have an opportunity to be the backup to Frank Gore in Indianapolis.
Stevan Ridley visiting Indianapolis, impact for fantasy stock pending
Stevan Ridley talks with the with Colts one day after his release from Detroit. We look at the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Spin:
Ridley only rushed for 96 yards with the New York Jets in 2015 and could only manage to see action with the third-team offense in Detroit this offseason. The Colts may be in a bind but, given Ridley’s recent pass, do not expect to see him backing up Gore by Week 1. Fantasy owners should steer clear of Ridley at this point. He has many hills to climb, the first being making a team. Owners can grab Ridley off waivers during the season if he does make a miraculous turnaround.
