Rishard Matthews continues to acclimate himself well into the Tennessee Titans’ offense. The latest example is Matthews getting work at slot receiver, according to TitansOnline.com reporter Jim Wyatt.
Rishard Matthews impressing Titans, fantasy value still low
We break down the fantasy implications of Rishard Matthews continuing to impress his new team.
The Titans have been happy with Matthews, so they want to give him more chances to shine in this offense. He has played mostly on the boundary in his career thus far. However, slot receiver Kendall Wright is still sidelined with a hamstring injury, which is allowing Matthews to steal his reps there.
With Wright out, Matthews is fighting for targets with rookie Tajae Sharpe and veteran Andre Johnson.
Fantasy Spin: If Matthews can play the boundary and slot, it only boosts his fantasy value further in this offense. His current ADP still allows you to get him as a WR4 for your fantasy team. Matthews has the potential to be a solid PPR receiver this year, but his upside should be as a WR3.
