A 9th-grade teacher created a ‘No Kevin Durant zone’ in his classroom

A graduate of the University of Oklahoma, Tucker Hein, who recently started a gig teaching algebra to ninth graders in Indianapolis, has created a “No Kevin Durant zone” in his classroom. Hein was so heartbroken by Durant’s decision to leave the Oklahoma City Thunder for the Golden State Warriors that he turned it into a lesson for his students:

According to News 9, here’s why he did it:

He says he was wanting something to remind his students to work hard, and he came up with the KD bulletin board idea the day before school started.

Hein says when his students saw it, they got into a big debate about Durant leaving the Thunder, and that his boss, the school principal, cracked up when he saw it.

Here’s to hoping that the ninth graders follow Mr. Hein’s advice!
