Maybe guard her next time?

Taurasi may not be shooting as well in the WNBA this season as she has in years past, but you have to think leaving her consistently wide open from deep wasn’t the best of ideas if you’re Senegal.
Four of her threes came in the opening quarter, and three in the opening four minutes. With a between-the-legs step-back Taurasi held a 9-2 lead over Senegal herself. Her burst helped the Americans cruise by on a 16-2 run to start the game and they never looked back.
In just 16 minutes, she finished with a game-high 15 points on 5-of-7 shooting and added three rebounds and two assists.
