The traditional European curtain-raiser, UEFA’s Super Cup, takes place on Tuesday. The annual showpiece fixture pits the defending Champions League winners against the Europa League champions, meaning this year’s — held in Trondheim, Norway — is an all Spanish occasion. Real Madrid go head-to-head against domestic rivals Sevilla, with the latter hoping to finally lift a trophy they’ve narrowly missed out on for the last two seasons.
Real Madrid vs. Sevilla 2016 live stream: Time, TV schedule and how to watch UEFA Super Cup online
Real Madrid take on Sevilla in UEFA’s traditional curtain-raiser on Tuesday.

The game kicks off at the traditional UEFA time of 2:45 p.m. ET, and you can watch online on Fox Sports GO and Fox Soccer 2Go.
Real Madrid head into the match without Gareth Bale, who has been given a longer holiday after his heroics with the Welsh national team at Euro 2016. Cristiano Ronaldo is also to be rested, with Toni Kroos, Pepe and Keylor Navas also all reportedly sidelined. We could see quite an experimental selection from coach Zinedine Zidane.
That’s good news for new Sevilla coach Jorge Sampaoli, who took over from Unai Emery in the summer. He’ll be looking to impress in his first (semi-)competitive fixture, having earned a reputation as coach of the Chilean national side as one of the game’s most progressive thinkers. Sevilla have been particularly busy over the summer, and attackers Wissam Ben Yedder, Joaquín Correa and Franco Vázquez are among the players who could be handed their competitive debuts.
