Katie Ledecky won the gold medal in the women’s 200-meter freestyle Tuesday, edging out Sweden’s Sarah Sjostrom to win. Ledecky passed Australia’s Emma McKeon on the second turn, and appeared to be on her way to an easy win, but had to hold off a charging Sjostrom on the last leg. Sjostrom was in an outside lane out of Ledecky’s view, and finished .25 seconds out of gold.
