It’s a new football season, but Jon Gruden is still doing weird things on ‘Monday Night Football’

The Philadelphia Eagles and Chicago Bears didn’t play the most exciting game on Monday Night Football, but fortunately Jon Gruden was there once again to provide the entertainment.

Gruden is always entertaining with his enthusiasm and analysis, but where he really shines is in the planned booth segments. ESPN gives Gruden a chance to discuss a relevant topic. This time he even got a prop.

Gruden was discussing a drill he ran with Carson Wentz to help with ball protection. He demonstrated it by smacking his broadcast partner Sean McDonough with a pool noodle.

Jon Gruden’s booth segments remain the best.
