The New York Giants are listing running back Rashad Jennings as questionable for Week 3 vs. Washington. However, the expectation is Jennings will be able to play, according to ESPN reporter Jordan Raanan.
Jennings is dealing with a hand injury suffered in Week 2 vs. the New Orleans Saints. The eighth-year back rushed for a mere 27 yards on 13 carries vs. the Saints after going for 75 yards on 18 carries in Week 1 vs. the Dallas Cowboys.
He has also caught three passes for 16 yards this season. Even with his slow start, the schedule is more favorable for New York’s ground game to produce big this week.
Fantasy Impact: Jennings is off to a bad start this season, so this hand injury makes him an even shakier play this week. He will face a Washington defense allowing the second-most fantasy points to running backs, so starting him is still a smart play as long as he is active.
