FedExCup TOUR Championship purse: Payout includes $10 million bonus prize money
The winner at East Lake is set to take home a massive check -- but whomever clinches the Playoffs prize will take home nearly 10 times that.

At the conclusion of Sunday’s Tour Championship, someone will be $10 million richer -- and it might not be the winner of the tournament. The bonus for the winner of the PGA Tour’s FedExCup Playoffs is the richest prize in the sport and helped to buy legitimacy in the eyes of players and the public with the fall run of tournaments despite football’s shadow.
As for this year’s edition, Ryan Moore and Kevin Chappell seem in prime shape to take home the title at East Lake, but Dustin Johnson and Rory McIlroy behind them are in great shape for the massive season-ending payday. Jordan Spieth took home last year’s $10 million bonus and set a new record for earnings on the course that year, too.
