Carson Wentz can do no wrong right now for the Philadelphia Eagles. He started his Week 3 by carving up the Pittsburgh Steelers, throwing a pair of touchdowns and completing 21 of 28 attempts, still without an interception. The strong start to puts Wentz closer to Tom Brady’s rookie record for most consecutive pass attempts without an interception to begin a career.

The NFL isn’t giving Carson Wentz any trouble so far.

Brady began his career with three passes in clean-up duty as a rookie but took over full-time for Drew Bledsoe in 2001 and started his NFL career with 162 consecutive attempts without an interception. Wentz has 82.
In the first two weeks of the season, Wentz completed 43 of 71 passes for 468 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Eagles to a 2-0 start. He finished Sunday’s game 23-of-31 for 301 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
To break Brady’s overall record for consecutive pass attempts without an interception (335), Wentz will have to avoid turnovers for most of his rookie season. Brady accomplished the feat over a span of 11 games in the 2010 season.
