The Green Bay Packers will not hold Jordy Nelson back in his first regular-season game in years. Head coach Mike McCarthy said Monday that Nelson would be “full bore in Jacksonville,” according to ESPN reporter Rob Demovsky.

Demovsky also reported Tuesday that Nelson “did everything at full speed” in practice. This is great news for Nelson, who missed all of 2015 with a torn ACL suffered in the preseason.
There was doubt as to whether Nelson would be ready Week 1 after he started camp on the PUP list because of knee tendinitis. He came off it on Aug. 17 and has been practicing ever since.
Though he did not play in any preseason games, Nelson did participate in full-pad warm-ups on the field before the final three games.
Fantasy Spin: You drafted Nelson to be your fantasy football team’s top wide receiver, so do not treat him like anything less for now. It would have been nice to see Nelson in the preseason, but he is too big of a player in this offense to not produce in his first game back. He will be a low-end WR1 vs. the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 1.
