At the end of the first half of the divisional matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers, the Cowboys could have attempted a fair catch kick. They declined.
Cowboys declined a fair catch kick and a chance for 3 points at the end of the 1st half
It would have been a 73-yard field goal attempt to close the half.

After a defensive stop by Dallas, Packers punter Jacob Schum punted 46 yards, and Cole Beasley signaled for a fair catch at the Dallas 38-yard line. Under the NFL rules, following a fair catch, the Cowboys could have opted to put the ball in play with a free kick.
There were just two seconds remaining in the half, and the clock would have started when the ball was kicked. If the Cowboys had chosen to attempt a fair catch kick, it would have essentially been a 73-yard field goal attempt.
Cowboys kicker Dan Bailey hit a 50-yard field goal in the first quarter, but he’s just three of seven on 50-plus yard attempts this season, including Sunday’s game. It’s unlikely Bailey would have made it, but three points could have made a big difference for Dallas in this game.
