The Cowboys were driving late in the first half on the Packers, and Dak Prescott sent a pass that was intended for Jason Witten into the end zone. Joe Buck described it on the broadcast as his feet being tangled, but that certainly wasn’t the case.
Jason Witten wanted a pass interference call in the end zone, and he deserved one
Throw that laundry, ref.
Witten looked to be interfered with, as Packers linebacker Joe Thomas had both hands around Witten from the 10-yard line to the 5-yard line, tripping up the tight end, who was unable to get to the pass.
Nothing was called on the play, and it resulted in the Cowboys having to settle for a field goal, making it a 21-13 game going into the half.
Witten was frustrated with a no-call in a similar fashion on a previous play. For now, it appears the referees are letting a little more go than we’re accustomed to seeing.
