The Pittsburgh Steelers franchise has been known for its fierce defenses over the years, and it’s starting to play well at the right time.
Ryan Shazier intercepted Alex Smith thanks to Bud Dupree’s big hit
Great teamwork!
It’s plays like the one that Bud Dupree and Ryan Shazier combined to make that give the Steelers that reputation. Dupree menacingly ran towards Alex Smith, delivering the pressure and altering the pass. It went high up in the air, and made for an easy pick for Shazier.
This was Shazier’s fourth interception in as many games, so you can assume that he’s feeling it right about now.
He’s also feeling himself, as he told ESPN’s Josina Anderson:
Unfortunately for the Steelers, it wouldn’t be long before Ben Roethlisberger threw a red zone interception to Eric Berry.
