Jordy Nelson isn’t quite ready to say if he’ll be able to play this Sunday in the NFC Championship.

Nelson spent the Packers’ victory in Dallas on the sidelines nursing broken ribs from the Wild Card Game, but told reporters at AT&T Stadium afterwards that he was feeling much better.

Still, he was noncommittal about what that meant as Green Bay prepares to face the Atlanta Falcons with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line.

“There’s no guarantees,” Nelson told Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. “We’re a whole week away.”

Nelson led all Packers receivers with 97 catches, 14 touchdowns, and 1,257 receiving yards during the regular season. He had caught one pass on three targets against the Giants in the Wild Card round before suffering his rib injury.

Last week, he started giving fans glimmers of hope that he might be ready to go by saying he made progress during the week ahead of Green Bay’s Divisional Round game against the Cowboys. He wasn’t quite ready, it turns out.

Expect another six days of tight lips from the Packers as they prepare for the Falcons.
