Packers get called for a rare delay of game penalty on a kickoff

The Packers’ issues in the NFC Championship against the Falcons weren’t exclusive to the offense and defense. They had a rare one on special teams, too.

The Packers finally got their first score of the game, but followed it up with a delay of game penalty on the ensuing kickoff.

The play is so rare, it has only happened one other time since 2005, when the Jacksonville Jaguars were called for it in December.

Down 31-7, every mistake is costly for the Packers.
