Steelers thought they had a touchdown, but had to settle for 3 points

It was quite the turn of events.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are trying to keep pace with the Patriots on the road in the AFC Championship, and a perfect opportunity got away from them.

Jesse James came down with a great catch that initially appeared to be a touchdown, but the play was reviewed, and the ball was spotted just short of the goal line.

After that play, the Steelers made three unsuccessful attempts at the end zone, and ended up kicking the field goal to make it a 17-9 game with just under two minutes remaining in the first half.

New England wouldn’t be able to make much of their possession upon receiving the ball and the score would hold going into the half.
