The Detroit Lions are looking for their first postseason win since the 1991-92 season. They’re going up against the Seattle Seahawks, who have been one of the best teams in the NFC the past few seasons.
Lions’ awful 4th-down play gave the Seahawks great field position
That might not have been the best call.

On a 4th-and-1 just barely inside Seahawks territory, the Lions ran a play that didn’t make a whole lot of sense, and didn’t gain them anything.
On the ensuing Seahawks drive, the Seahawks were able to get into the end zone after driving down the field, thanks to the catch of the year by Paul Richardson.
The play might not have seemed big at the time, but that could end up hurting the Lions down the stretch.
