Odell Beckham Jr. punched a wall, and the NFL is investigating it for some reason

But can it handle the truth?

Someone punched a hole in a wall outside the Giants locker room at Lambeau Field following New York’s elimination from the playoffs. It was very likely Odell Beckham Jr. who did the punching. But the NFL wants to be sure.

League security is currently investigating the destruction of property in Green Bay, according to ESPN’s Sal Paolantonio. And they will get to the bottom of this. Have no fear. The NFL’s forensic team already “took pictures, spoke with members of the grounds crew, and took their phone numbers for follow-up interviews.”

On Monday, Giants head coach Ben McAdoo didn’t sound pleased about the situation.

“We and I take full responsibility for that,” McAdoo said, according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo. “That’s not the way we want to act after ballgames.”

Giants owner Jerry Reese said that if Beckham is responsible, the team will “hold him responsible,” according to the New York Post’s Paul Schwartz.

Reese also met with Beckham on Monday.

Following a rough outing for one of the league’s best receivers, Beckham reportedly banged his head against the door outside the locker room, though he was “calm and composed” when meeting with the media. He’s a prime suspect after recording just 28 yards on four catches — and a few big drops.

It’s not the first time the NFL has investigated a postgame situation like this with the Giants. Ereck Flowers wasn’t fined after pushing a reporter last November, so Beckham probably won’t have to shop for a safe house anytime soon.
