Matt Ryan ate the turf while attempting to run out wide for the wildcat

Matty, are you OK?

The Atlanta Falcons and Buffalo Bills played a competitive first half of football, with the Falcons up 10-7 at the half. It didn’t come without something funny, or a scare if you’re a Falcons fan.

With Mohamed Sanu lined up behind center in the wildcat, Matt Ryan ran out wide — and ate it:

He also gave Sanu a thumbs up after getting up.

Sure, Ryan running wide wasn’t pretty, but at least he looked like he cared, unlike Jay Cutler earlier Sunday in London:

No threat posed by Cutler. For all anybody knows, Ryan could have caught a quick pass and scored (not really).

The Falcons already have Julio Jones questionable to return with a hip injury, losing Ryan because he ran out wide for the wildcat would have been devastating.
