The Colts defense got things off to a good start on Sunday Night Football, sacking Russell Wilson in the end zone for a safety. It came on the heels of the Colts deciding to punt from the Seahawks’ 36-yard line. Indianapolis could have attempted a field goal, but instead pinned the Seahawks at the 1-yard line. It paid off.
Colts punted from the Seahawks’ 36-yard line and it paid off with a safety
Instead of attempting a field goal, the Colts pinned the Seahawks deep and it worked out just fine.

The play was initially ruled an incomplete pass. Chuck Pagano threw the challenge flag, and the officials got it right on review.
Wilson’s arm is moving forward, but at the moment that his knee hits the ground, he has control of the ball. The ball doesn’t leave his hand until after he’s down.
Seattle was already on the board with a 44-yard Blair Walsh field goal. The safety made it a 3-2 game. If the Colts would have attempted a field goal and made it, it would be a tie game. But it worked out fine for Indianapolis.
