Disrespectful Blocks of the Week is ready to roll for Week 5. Guys, this is easily the best video of the year. The offensive linemen have picked it up, and it’s been fun to watch. Now is the time of the year when guys get into a groove.
Ravens center Ryan Jensen blocks like a beast, and it’s fun to watch
Retired NFL lineman Geoff Schwartz has six wonderfully disrespectful blocks from Week 5 to share.

Let’s start in Oakland with Ryan Jensen of the Ravens. This kid has been playing well lately and continued Sunday. First, the long red hair flowing out of the back of his helmet is awesome. Even better is this block from Sunday.
Outside zone, Jensen climbs to the second level, runs the linebacker and finishes him. Then for good measure, the gut spear!
Moving along to Philadelphia and the 4-1 Eagles. One reason for their success is how awesome their offensive line is playing, led by long-time left tackle Jason Peters. Here, Peters chips the inside man, then climbs to his backer. To make it even better, Peters knocks down the backer, then mounts him for good. Lastly, he goes to help up the guy he pancaked. LOL.
Left tackle Matt Kalil from the 4-1 Panthers gets in the mix this week too. It’s a shovel pass for a touchdown. Kalil gallops down on his deuce, climbs to the linebacker, and it’s over. Kalil knocks him down. The backer tries to get up, and Kalil finishes him once again!
What a difference an offensive line can make for a young quarterback. Out in L.A., Jared Goff doesn’t even look like the same player from his rookie season. Here’s his left guard making a big play. It’s a play-action counter pass, and Rodger Saffold is pulling to his right. The Seahawks defensive end doesn’t even see him. Down he goes, followed by a second finish on top!
Pittsburgh struggled on Sunday against the Jaguars, but Alejandro Villanueva had a block that belonged on this reel. Here, he’s using his size to dominate a stand-up linebacker. Being big is fun; being big and physical sets you apart. Good work from the Army Ranger veteran!
Lastly, we move to Buffalo and its fullback Patrick DiMarco, who gets a two for one on this block. He’s going to block a linebacker, and he wings another blitzer. Notice after the hit that guy seems stunned that he was knocked to the ground. Excellent work here. This type of block fires up a team.
