Tony Romo has quickly become our favorite NFL play-by-play announcer. Romo’s love for the game is refreshing, and his perspective as a former quarterback adds so much depth to his commentary. This week, Romo will be in the booth for the second time this week to call Steelers vs. Chiefs, which should one of the best matchups of Week 6.

We don’t just get a game between two talented teams with plenty of interesting storylines. We also get Tony Romo’s takes, not to mention his tendency to predict plays before they happen. And there will almost certainly be dad jokes galore.
What might Romo mention about the Chiefs?
The last time these teams faced each other ended in heartbreak for Kansas City. The Chiefs lost a tight 18-16 game to the Steelers in the divisional round of the playoffs. But the Chiefs haven’t lost another game since, and they’re the only undefeated team left in the NFL this season.
The Steelers mark the toughest challenge the Chiefs have faced. Pittsburgh is allowing just 139.6 passing yards per game. Smith has yet to turn the ball over this season, but the Steelers’ defense has allowed just three passing touchdowns against five interceptions.
It will be a treat to hear Romo break down Alex Smith’s game and what he’s seeing from the Steelers as Smith takes on this defense. Smith is playing the best football of his entire career in this spread-to-run offense, which is similar to the one he thrived in at Utah under Urban Meyer.
Kareem Hunt has made a name for himself in his rookie season, and Travis Kelce cleared the concussion protocol and should be good to go for Sunday. So the Kansas City offense should be at full strength.
What will Romo have to say about the Steelers?
Ben Roethlisberger is coming off of a five-interception, no-touchdown performance against the Jaguars last week. The Steelers’ offense hasn’t been able to find a rhythm, but this team’s history against the Chiefs suggests that a rebound may come on Sunday.
Roethlisberger is 6-0 against the Chiefs in games that he has started and played all the way through, according to ESPN. The only time the Chiefs have gotten the best of Pittsburgh in a game Roethlisberger played in was 2009. Roethlisberger started, but left the game with an injury and was replaced by Charlie Batch.
The Steelers and Chiefs should give us one of the better matchups this week. And Tony Romo is the best person to call the play-by-play.
