The Baltimore Ravens needed a spark against the Chicago Bears, and Bobby Rainey delivered with a 96-yard kick return touchdown. But it probably wouldn’t have happened if Rainey hadn’t tripped over his teammate, Tyus Bowser.
Ravens get kick return TD thanks to Bobby Rainey tripping over his teammate
Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good.

When Rainey fell, every player on both teams stopped because they thought the play was over. Only the veteran running back knew the play was still live.
Rainey has bounced around a few rosters during his NFL career and returned kicks just about everywhere, but his 96-yard run is the first kick-return touchdown of his career. It almost didn’t happen with Bears running back Benny Cunningham chasing him down, but Rainey made the last guy miss and got into the end zone.
The touchdown was the first of the game for the Ravens and cut the team’s deficit against the Bears to 17-10. There’s nothing wrong with a little good luck to get a rally started.
