Trevor Siemian suffered an injury trying to make a tackle after an interception and now the Denver Broncos quarterback has gone to the locker room to be evaluated. He was replaced in the game by Brock Osweiler just before halftime, but was able to return to the field in the second half.
Broncos QB Trevor Siemian returned to ‘Sunday Night Football’ after leaving with a shoulder injury
The Broncos were back to relying on Brock Osweiler at quarterback, but now Siemian’s on the field.

The injury is a left shoulder problem and the Broncos declared Siemian questionable to return.
Siemian, 25, has had a strong start to the 2017 season with seven touchdowns and four interceptions en route to a 3-1 record in the first quarter of the year. He was the starter in 14 games for the Broncos in 2016, but missed one game in October due to a A/C joint sprain in his left shoulder. He eventually had surgery in January to repair the problem.
If the quarterback is out for an extended period, the Broncos will lean on Osweiler, a former starter for the team who left in free agency during the 2016 offseason. He spent one year with the Houston Texans before he was traded to the Cleveland Browns earlier in 2017 and eventually released before the regular season.
Osweiler led the Broncos to a 5-2 record during the 2015 season that ended with a Super Bowl victory for Denver, although Peyton Manning re-established himself as starter by the time the postseason arrived.
In Houston, Osweiler threw 15 touchdowns and 16 interceptions before he was eventually replaced by Tom Savage.
The other option at quarterback for the Broncos is Paxton Lynch, a 2016 first-round pick who suffered a shoulder injury in August that has kept him out of action. Lynch is expected to return soon and would likely be ahead of Osweiler on the depth chart when healthy.
