On Monday, after being evaluated, doctors believed Odhiambo had a cardiac contusion, which is a bruised heart. Pete Carroll delivered some good news about Odhiambo’s condition on Monday.
After Seattle’s win, Odhiambo was lying on the floor of the locker room and being attended to by medical staff, per Stephanie Loh of the Seattle Times. Thankfully, Carroll said that Odhiambo seemed “really stable.” Still, he was carried out of the locker room on a stretcher and taken to the hospital for evaluation.
It was a dominant win for the Seahawks, but there was a price. In addition to Odhiambo’s injury, Seattle lost defensive end Cliff Avril to a neck injury and running back Chris Carson was carted off the field with an ankle injury that Carroll described as “significant.”
Odhiambo has been released from the hospital.
