The Browns have benched DeShone Kizer yet again.
DeShone Kizer benched vs. Titans for Cody Kessler
Welp.

After a poor start against the Tennessee Titans, Kizer was benched for Cody Kessler. Kizer threw interceptions to end the first half and start the second half. Kizer was 12-of-20 passing on the afternoon for 114 yards to go with his two interceptions.
Upon entering the game, Kessler was ripping it. This was on their first drive:
He was benched with the Browns down 6-3, and the team still seeking its first win. Clearly, head coach Hue Jackson felt this was as good of a time as any to get the win and felt Kizer couldn’t get it done.
It reiterates what Hue Jackson said after their game against the Jets.
“Kizer is developing, but his job is still to win,” Jackson said. “That is first and foremost. I didn’t think it was going in the right direction. That is why I made the decision to take him out. If that was the case and it was just about development, I would have just left him in.”
“It is not about that. It is about winning.”
Kizer won his starting job back from Kevin Hogan after Hogan threw a trio of picks in Week 6. Kessler was promoted to Kizer’s backup after Hogan’s awful week and then took Kizer’s job on Sunday.
