Eagles WR Mack Hollins nailed the ‘Backpack Kid’ dance after his 1st career TD

The dance isn’t as easy as it looks.

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Mack Hollins hauled in a 64-yard touchdown pass to tie up a crucial Monday Night Football game against Washington. It was his first career touchdown, but his celebration was pretty impressive too.

He nailed the Backpack Kid dance in the back of the end zone.

He’s not the first to give it a try after Backpack Kid — a 15-year-old named Russell Horning — was featured on stage with Katy Perry on Saturday Night Live in May. His dance quickly became a viral hit.

It’s harder than it looks.

In Week 1, Pittsburgh Steelers rookie T.J. Watt busted out the dance after a sack. Last week, New Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram used it as a touchdown dance, but couldn’t quite get the rhythm down.

But Hollins had it down.

The fourth-round pick entered the game with only five career receptions for 70 yards, but gave the Eagles the big play they needed. He also rode his bike to the stadium for the game, which isn’t something you see much from professional athletes and makes him immediately easy to root for.

If Hollins makes more plays like he did in the first half Monday and busts out more nice dance moves, he could become a fan favorite pretty quick.
