LeBron James started at point guard, Anthony Davis is hurt and everything else from Tuesday

LeBron’s basically played point guard his entire career. So what he did starting at the one came as no surprise.

For the first time in 12 years, LeBron James started the game as his team’s official point guard. On a Tuesday night where wild things happened, James’s dominance at a position he has basically played his entire career reigned supreme.

Here’s what you missed last night:

Point god LeBron James

With no Derrick Rose or Isaiah Thomas, the Cavaliers had no other choice but to turn to the best player in the world and say “take us to the promised land.”

LeBron’s stat line says it all:

Why was LeBron so dominant at the point guard position? He says it’s because he knows every single position like the back of his hand.

A few other cool LeBron stats?

The King put up 30 points and 12 assists for the 25th time in his career. That’s more 30-and-12 games than any active player in the league, according to NBA stats.

Another one: James played in his 771st game Cavaliers game on Tuesday. That tied Big Z, Zyrdunas Ilgauskus, for the most regular season games played in Cavs history.

Blake Griffin is hella disrespectful

Rudy Gobert is a Defensive Player of the Year candid-

This image captured it all:

Anthony Davis got hurt

Davis knocked knees with Moe Harkless in the second quarter of Pelicans vs. Trail Blazers and did not return.

Here’s the play:

Davis has had the injury bug virtually every season since New Orleans drafted him in 2012.

The MRI on his knee was negative and the Pelicans listed him as day-to-day, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Pacers are supposed to be trash, but they just blew out the Timberwolves

Indiana traded Paul George for Victor Oladipo and Domantas Sabonis, then replaced Jeff Teague with Darren Collison. That team isn’t supposed to run up 130 points on Tom Thibodeau, the most feared defensive head coach across the league... right?

Wrong.

A few days after running up 140 points on Kenny Atkinson’s Brooklyn Nets, Indiana dropped 130 on Minnesota in a 23-point win... IN MINNEAPOLIS. Six Pacers scored in double figures, led by Oladipo’s 28 points in 28 minutes and 21 points off the bench from Cory Joseph.

And they did it on ridiculous efficiency. Indiana shot 66.7 percent against the Timberwolves — a franchise record — and 77 percent in the second half.

Jayson Tatum is scary

First off, we’ve gotta pour one for Tim Hardaway Jr., who got annihilated by the Celtics’ rookie on a put-back dunk.

Now that that’s out of the way, Tatum drubbed the Knicks’ defense for 22 points on 60 percent shooting. In related news, here’s how Boston-based media sees the Knicks’ defense:

What’s up with Markelle Fultz’s shoulder?

First, Fultz’s agent Raymond Brothers told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski that Fultz had fluid from his shoulder drained in October.

“Markelle had a shoulder injury and fluid drained out of the back of his shoulder,” Brothers originally told ESPN. “He literally cannot raise up his arms to shoot the basketball. He decided to try and fight through the pain to help the team.”

Then, Brothers changed his story and said Fultz never had fluid drained from his shoulder.

“He had a cortisone shot on Oct. 5, which means fluid was put into his shoulder -- not taken out,” he told ESPN on Tuesday night. “My intention earlier was to let people know that he’s been experiencing discomfort.”

Something strange is going on in Philly.

Dwyane Wade absolutely trolled Kevin Love

Just watch the video:

Aaron Gordon came back and dropped 41 on the Nets

After Nikola Vucevic put up 41 points in a loss at Brooklyn, Gordon returned with his best “anything you can do, I can do better” performance. Orlando’s young stud also dropped 41, including a perfect 5-of-5 from three.

Yes, Aaron Gordon is spraying threes now, and it’s beautiful.

Here he is going coast-to-coast:

And here he is taking off from the dotted line:

Gordon and Vucevic became the first Magic duo to have 40-point games in the same season since Shaquille O’Neal and Penny Hardaway in 1995-96. That’s more than 20 years, guys.
