This World Series ad swallowed an outfielder and people had jokes

The ads. They have gone too far.

You probably know that some ads on TV are the work of CGI. We think we can easily spot them, because sometimes they honestly don’t look that great. But this one in the World Series threw baseball fans off — mostly because George Springer’s face went missing.

The big ol’ Mastercard ad was displayed over Springer’s head. Like most people, i assumed that was an real, physical banner on the wall. But nope.

Technology can be too much to handle at times. How does a person’s face go missing without them even knowing? Did someone tell Springer about this when he got back to the dugout? As soon as it happened, Twitter came with jokes about the censored Springer head:

Please stop blocking baseball players, ads. It’s their time to shine.
