The best moment in the Ravens’ 40-0 win was a cat running on the field

GO KITTY GO

The Baltimore Ravens’ 40-0 destruction of the Miami Dolphins was probably fun to watch for Baltimore fans. For everyone else, it was a little dull.

Thankfully, a hero came in the final minutes to reward all of us who stuck through the blowout to the very end:

Go kitty! MVP!

That’s some impressive change of direction. Clearly it was too much for the camera man to handle.

Tony Romo was in the booth for CBS and provided a charming commentary on the cat’s moves too:

An animal on a football field isn’t completely unique. But it definitely happens more often in college football than the NFL, because: A) There are many more college football games, and B) Stadiums aren’t multi-billion dollar palaces that are impossible for wildlife to get into.

So that raises some questions about this Baltimore cat.

Namely: Did someone take a cat to the game? This isn’t a fox or a raccoon or a squirrel we’re talking about. There are definitely stray cats on the streets, but it’s also possible that this is a pet, where that couldn’t really be a possibility if it was one of those other animals.

According to the Ravens, it took less than 24 hours for someone to adopt the M&T Bank Stadium intruder:

They didn’t name the kitty “Raven,” but they did name her after the team: she’s now Rae. Awww.
