The Seahawks wisely challenged an incomplete ruling on a Russell Wilson pass in the general direction of tight end Luke Willson. But it wasn’t an incomplete pass. Wilson was hit by Jadeveon Clowney as he threw, and it was actually a fumble.
Willson recovered, and it netted the Seahawks a gain of 11 yards and a first down. If the play had stood as an incompletion, Seattle would have been forced to kick a field goal. Instead, Russell Wilson hit Paul Richardson for a 20-yard touchdown to tie things up, 14-14.
