D’onta Foreman lost a fumble in the second quarter of the Texans’ Sunday night matchup against the Chiefs. That’s not great, but what was impressive was Deshaun Watson’s flawless tackle to take down Chris Jones after he recovered the ball.
Deshaun Watson saved a TD with a flawless tackle after a fumble in Chiefs vs. Texans
It’s not great that Houston turned the ball over, but it would have been worse without Watson.

Jones is running full speed after he recovers the fumble, and Watson isn’t having it.
Let’s take a closer look.
Watson occasionally did play a little safety at Gainesville High School in Gainesville, Ga. So he does have some experience on that side of the ball.
It’s been a rough night for the Texans. They lost both J.J. Watt and Whitney Mercilus to injuries, and the Chiefs were able to convert that fumble recovery into a field goal to take a 16-0 lead.
But the Texans offense started clicking on the next possession. Foreman made up for his turnover with a huge 25-yard run, and the Texans finally got in the end zone on a 6-yard Watson pass to DeAndre Hopkins. Maybe Watson’s tackle inspired his teammates.
