Remember when the Texans started the season with Tom Savage as the starting quarterback? Well, it’s Deshaun Watson’s job now. The 48-yard touchdown he threw to Will Fuller to narrow the Chiefs’ lead to six points in the fourth quarter of Sunday Night Football is a great example of why that’s the best idea for the Texans.

The Chiefs took a 23-7 lead into the half. But the Texans didn’t stop fighting, despite having both J.J. Watt and Whitney Mercilus out with injuries.
Watson wasn’t done. He hit DeAndre Hopkins with a 34-yard touchdown pass and a 1-yard score at the very end of the game to narrow the Chiefs’ margin of victory to 42-34. He threw five touchdowns in the game, tying his rookie record from the week before.
