D’Angelo Russell to miss ‘several games’ with knee contusion, per report
Russell will undergo further evaluation on his knee down the line.

Russell injured his knee on Saturday night in a 114-106 loss to the Jazz. The up-and-coming point guard traveled back to New York with the team to have an MRI on Sunday morning and will continue to be evaluated down the line, according to Wojnarowski.
The Nets’ backcourt has been plagued with injuries all season. Jeremy Lin has been ruled out for the season with a ruptured patellar tendon, and Spencer Dinwiddie is battling a sore hamstring. Russell’s injury doubles down on the Nets’ bind with their backcourt depth.
Russell was averaging 20.9 points and 5.7 assists in his best start as a pro with the Nets. The point guard played 33 minutes in the loss to the Jazz and finished with 26 points, six rebounds, and three assists.
