I think this is the first argumentative Chart Party I’ve ever done. This is because I don’t hold many strong opinions on sports, and that, in turn, is because I am a coward. But not this time! I’ve sat through far too many pointless kickoffs, and I have to say something about them.
Chart Party: Kickoffs are stupid and bad
The NFL kickoff is the stupidest play in sports. It’s boring, bad, dangerous, and pointless, and we’ve got to get rid of it.
As usual, I relied heavily upon a Sports-Reference site. Pro-Football-Reference’s Play Index was instrumental in looking up NFL kickoff data.
