Jayson Tatum hilariously missed a fastbreak layup

This layup finna be a breeze — or so Tatum thought.

Jayson Tatum has been spectacular for the Celtics this year. If Ben Simmons didn’t exist, Tatum would probably be in the lead for Rookie of the Year at this point.

With that being said, the rookie forward blew a layup in transition against the Nets on Tuesday night and it was HILARIOUS. Just see for yourself.

This is straight-up embarrassing. Trevor Booker, who was trailing the play, didn’t even get up a contest at all — Tatum literally just mishandled the ball.

Maybe this is a trend now? Avery Bradley has done it twice so far.

Here against the Clippers.

And then he did it again against the Heat.

Maybe it’s the new planking? I don’t know. It happens to the best of them, though. I’m not sure this ranks on quite the same level of embarrassment for Tatum, but it’s still pretty funny.
