These are some really good throwbacks.
Anytime the NBA does something with throwback jerseys, it’s usually a nice thing. The jerseys aren’t always the nicest, but the authenticity and nostalgia kick in making the moment so much better.
Tonight, the Charlotte Hornets are in the spotlight. I’m on record as a guy who doesn’t really like these uniforms. I don’t like the color palette here. But you’ve got to appreciate how authentic this throwback is.
Here’s what the jerseys looked like in the 90s.
It’s pretty much the exact same look. That’s a rarity in today’s NBA. We’ve still yet to get an exact replica of the 90s Washington Bullets jerseys or the 90s Memphis Grizzlies jerseys. So lets appreciate this moment while we have it.
