Pump fakes in sports are one of the most effective maneuvers you can make. Players’ adrenaline is high, and any slight movement can cause an overreaction in order to stop the opposition.
I can’t stop watching this Russell Wilson pump fake
It’s like magic.

Russell Wilson’s vicious pump-fake from their Monday night loss against the Falcons is a treasure. It’s like he threw some invisible dart at Falcons linebacker De’Vondre Campbell that just laid him out:
That pump fake allowed him to pick up an easy first down with his legs, after Campbell appeared like he forgot how to walk because of some type of voodoo Wilson threw his way.
It had the effect of an Allen Iverson crossover — the target was rendered helpless.
It would be irresponsible to mention that there are endless opportunities in which this could be used for a meme. Those are always the best plays, and ones you can appreciate the most.
Not all is lost for Campbell though, he got to feast on a W after the game.
Outside of the pump fake, Wilson didn’t have one of his better games through the air last night. He completed 26-of-42 passes with 258 yards, two touchdowns, and a pick. But he did have seven carries for 86 yards and a touchdown.
The Wilson pump-fake was good, unlike that fake field goal that Grady Jarrett swallowed up. My goodness.
