No, Kirk Cousins did not get ejected from an NBA game for elbowing Russell Westbrook

That would be Boogie Cousins.

Kirk Cousins is the starting quarterback of the Washington NFL team. He is not the New Orleans Pelicans’ DeMarcus “Boogie” Cousins. Let’s just clear that up right now.

This isn’t a conversation we thought we’d ever have, but apparently not everyone is clear on the fact that Kirk Cousins and Boogie Cousins are not the same person.

Case in point: An unknown newspaper published a blurb about Boogie Cousins getting ejected from Monday’s game against the Oklahoma Thunder for putting his elbows near Russell Westbrook’s head. But they blamed it on Kirk Cousins instead.

Kirk Cousins is in the middle of the NFL season, which wouldn’t leave him a ton of free time to pursue an NBA career right now. Plus, he’s kind of busy, what with the holiday season just around the corner. His “YULE LIKE THAT” Christmas sweater business must be booming.

This isn’t the first time people have been confused about the identity of Kirk Cousins. His own team president, Bruce Allen, has called him Kurt repeatedly. He’s only been playing for Washington for six seasons. Give Allen some time.

This could come in handy for Boogie, though. Maybe the NBA will fine Kirk Cousins instead. Kirk has plenty of franchise tag money to cover it.
