The Golden State Warriors are down Kevin Durant and Draymond Green, but they still have Stephen Curry. Yeah, uh, against the Chicago Bulls, that’s probably enough. Actually, that’s definitely enough.
Stephen Curry is back in MVP mode with 26 points in a single quarter
No Durant, no Draymond, but Curry is enough.

Curry scored four points in the first quarter... and 26 in the second. His 30 points in the first half were the most by any Warrior this season, and his 26-point second was also a season high. You can see a couple of his plays above, and an unanswered run of eight straight right here.
Also, can we talk about this layup for a minute?
Curry miraculously seems to teleport through his defender. I’m really not certain how he doesn’t lose the ball, much less how he snuck into the open space, even lesser how he finished over Robin Lopez. But Curry did that all.
At halftime, Curry’s 30 points come on 9-of-13 shooting from the field and 4-of-8 shooting from downtown. Thanks to a 45-point second quarter, Golden State already leads by 21 points. Curry could easily have 50 in a game like this, especially with Green and Durant out, but he might have to “settle” for a casual fourth quarter resting on the bench.
