Monday marked the 10-year anniversary since Sean Taylor’s death. Taylor died on Nov. 27, 2007, after suffering a gunshot wound the day before that severed his femoral artery at his home in Florida.
D.J. Swearinger honors Sean Taylor 10 years after his death by taping his facemask
This is a great gesture.

Taylor used to tape up his facemask when he played, and Washington safety D.J. Swearinger decided to pay tribute to Taylor by doing the same before their game against the Cowboys Thursday night:

It really was a good job by Swearinger:
Taylor led the NFL in interceptions when he was killed, and was a promising young talent that played with a passion that was unmatched.
“He just didn’t let up at any time. In the Pro Bowl some guys don’t really play their hardest. They don’t want to get hit,” former Washington safety Dashon Goldson told Sports Illustrated in 2015. “But s---, he was out there playing full-go.”
Taylor is now a member of the Ring of Fame in FedEx Field where Washington plays. While his No. 21 hasn’t been retired, it has yet to be worn since his tragic death.
