The Chiefs scored on one of the more uncommon final plays of a half you’ll ever see in a game of football.
Tyreek Hill scored on a Hail Mary play that actually wasn’t a Hail Mary at all
This was a beautiful play call by the Chiefs.

With two seconds left in the half and 57 yards to go, the Chiefs got creative. Instead of throwing your typical Hail Mary, they relied on the speed of Tyreek Hill and some good blocks, which surprisingly worked:
The Chiefs sent Travis Kelce, Demarcus Robinson, and Demetrius Harris downfield to set the blocks for Hill. They were outnumbered on the play, but combined with Hill’s speed and elusiveness, he was able to find the end zone.
Here’s a better look at the play unfolding, with Hill showing a patience rivaling that of Le’Veon Bell:
The play also has a pretty great nickname:
The score pulled the Chiefs within four points to go into the locker room down 14-10. It was Hill’s first reception of the game, and he made it count.
In case you’re curious, Tony Romo also sounded excited to see that play happen.
Hill is believed to be the fastest player in the NFL. On more than one occasion, he’s thrown up the peace sign on his way to the end zone. If there’s a player who’s going to complete this particular play, it’s going to be him.
