The Cowboys offensive line is starting to gel just in time for a playoff push

Dallas guard Zack Martin features prominently in retired NFL lineman Geoff Schwartz’s most disrespectful blocks of the week.

Another great batch of blocks this week for Disrespectful Blocks of the Week! We have a wide variety of bone crushing blocks. Got some slabs, run block pancakes, a club that sent a defense twirling, and some college clips as well!

We start in Dallas with All-Pro right guard Zack Martin. The Cowboys’ offense has been clicking over the last month, and they have a chance to make a playoff push. The offensive line has started to gel too, and that showed Sunday against the Chiefs. Here is Martin finding some extra work on a blitzer. This isn’t his guy, but he’s trying to inflict some damage on a defender.

Next up is Eagles center Jason Kelce. Before we get to the finish, just watch everything else. The footwork is beautiful and look at how Kelce continually works to reset his hands and hips in this back. That is clinic tape. The finish makes it a block of the week.

We move right along to Panthers right guard Trai Turner getting a full slab of ribs on this poor Falcons defender. Even though the Panthers have at times struggled to run the ball, their offensive line is still physical and loves to finish.

Now the block of the week on social media. Lane Johnson against Von MillerI wrote about this in detail on Wednesday and included a nice little video for y’all.

Lastly, another clip for the Joe Moore Award. The Joe Moore Award is the only college football award that recognizes an entire unit, the offensive line. I’m proud to be part of this select committee to evaluate and choose the unit most deserving of this award. You can follow the award at @JoeMooreAward on Twitter.
